BOSTON – March 11, 2020 – Fiduciary Trust Company’s Vice President and Trust Counsel Kelly J. Guarino, JD, was recently honored by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as a 2020 In-House Leader in the Law. The award recognizes general counsel and staff attorneys for being forward-thinking leaders in the community.
As a member of Fiduciary Trust’s Trust and Estate Legal Team, Kelly applies her two decades of legal experience to help clients enhance and implement their estate plans, in partnership with clients’ outside estate planning counsel. In addition, as a senior advisor and Board Secretary at the donor-advised fund sponsor Fiduciary Trust Charitable, she uses her nonprofit expertise to help the organization provide a tailored offering to donors.
Kelly is active in the professional legal community. She’s a member of the Boston Bar Association and serves in a leadership role on the BBA’s Tax-Exempt Organizations Section Steering Committee. She also co-chaired Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s (MCLE’s) Annual Nonprofit Law Conference and MCLE’s Nonprofit Law BasicsPlus program. Kelly is involved in her local community as well, serving as current President of the Carlisle Conservation Foundation and previously for nine years on the Carlisle Conservation Commission.
